Reading up

I've been thinking about doing my Masters and sometimes I forget that one needs to be constantly doing something about it until everything is final.
Every time I remember to do something about it I end up buying books so that I can read up or so that I feel like I'm doing something towards it. These are the books that I have so far and I'm not even sure if they will help with my thesis but before the thesis has to come the proposal which I'm dreading. All I know is that there has to be beads in there some how.

Beading factory

Been very busy making these necklaces and in doing so, haven't had time to post or get any other ball rolling. I'm must say that I'm proud of these though a bit concerned of the reception that they might or might not receive. Here's hoping.

Umgunqulu

After doing the beading class with omama at Durban Art Gallery, I decided to put the new techniques to good use and this is what I came up with. I believe anyone can learn how to bead but one needs to find a way to be different from the rest.

Beading workshop

One can never say they know it all, especially these days. I took part in a beading workshop today and it's been an eye opener, learning new stitches.

All you need is love.

Love is in the air and there is no way to avoid it.

Faith Necklace

I've always wanted to make jewellery or an item of jewellery that speaks about my faith and I think this necklace is it. The colours have their own meaning and are as follows.
MY FAITH NECKLACE
BLACK -  I once was lost with sin inside
RED - But Jesus died for me and paid the price
WHITE- My life is new, in Him alone
BLUE- And in waters of baptism, repentance is shown
GREEN - I will read His Word and pray each day, to be like Jesus
YELLOW - If I am faithful till He calls me home, a Crown of Life, will He bestow.
